SDB-T™ Bending & Tempering System
The SDB-T super deep bend system is Glasstech’s most advanced forming and tempering technology for the production of automotive safety glass for backlites and sidelites. Capable of producing traditional or complex shapes at competitive costs, SDB-T is available with electric radiant or gas fired forced convection heating.
Although it’s ideal for long runs, the SDB-T system incorporates Quick Change tooling capabilities so productivity is maximized even when short-run just-in-time production is required. SDB-T is the tempering version of Glasstech’s SDB-L.
The SDB-T system is unrivaled in its capability for forming the complex glass shapes required by the global automotive industry at high production rates. Some of Japan’s more dramatic backlites are produced using the SDB-T process.
