Safety Reminder
Ref: 26
Rev. Date: Dec-22-2000

Glasstech systems are designed with the safety of the operators and maintenance personnel in mind.

However, due to the nature and complexity of the furnace system it is imperative that: No one should be allowed to work on or around the furnace without sufficient training to understand the mechanisms and timing of the intermittent motions.

The safety procedures and various component motion timings are described in the associated manuals provided with your furnace. As previously stated it is imperative that this material is understood BEFORE operating, and especially conducting maintenance on your furnace.

The guards provided with the furnace are intended for the protection of the operators and should not be removed or disabled. An additional level of protection is provided by the Lock-Out-Tag-Out ability provided on the various AC or DC disconnects. These two safety measures should be used for safe operation and maintenance of the furnace and must be fully understood and adhered to.

If there are any questions relating to the safe operation or maintenance of your furnace that are not sufficiently addressed in the manuals  please contact Glasstech before proceeding.
